Certified Product DestructionKeeps Your Brand — and Consumers — Safe
Product destruction (sometimes referred to as product disposal) is often more difficult than it seems. Imagine thousands of plastic bottles that were recalled, for example. How would you safely, assuredly destroy each one, making sure none get back into circulation? How can you assure your products don’t end up on the gray-market, with associated risks and brand dilution.
With the tools and experience of a full-service recycler, Greenpath Recovery has the equipment on-hand for certified product destruction and downstream accountability for your business. From secure transportation to shredding and grinding, to knowing how to pelletize and reuse materials, we have over 25 years experience in the methods and practices of product destruction. For finished products where there is a guarantee needed that the product does not reach the public again, certified product destruction is the safe, easy path.
In addition, we can usually recover the majority, if not all, of the packaging, liquid, or other paper, plastic, and metal materials used so that they are not sent to a landfill – and so that some of it might be recycled, minimizing the loss.
One recent product destruction project included over 12,000,000 water bottles with a defective bottle cap and subject to a recall. Ultimately, we shredded the PET bottles, recovered the water for reuse in a dust control application, and re-manufactured the plastic into food packaging containers.
Another product destruction project involved over 1,000,000 recalled baby bottles, still in their original packaging. We un-packaged, disassembled, and ultimately extruded the polypropylene plastic into reprocessed pellets (repro) for reuse in manufacturing recycling totes.
Upon completion of your product destruction project, we can prove either a Certificate of Destruction and/or a Certificate of Recycling for any project, any size.
